ABOUT THE  PROJECT

Otočka Sloga is a community-led collaborative project. It is built from stories, photographs, and documents shared by islanders and friends of the island, with the aim of preserving the memory of island life and the spaces that shape it.

What began as an idea to create a comprehensive map of the old dvori (courtyards) on Iž soon grew into something greater: a record of the landmarks, history, and personal stories of the island and its people.

The project begins on Iž but aims to grow and encompass other Croatian islands as well, exploring their histories and connecting them.

Otočka Sloga is still in development and open to contributions. The project will culminate in a printed book and a map.

The project was launched in 2026 by Sam Lubicz and members of the "Iž u srcu" association: Ana Trninić, Jadranka Bukić Petrović, Damjan Sutlović, and Damir Sutlović.
